CODICI

CODES – Centro per i Diritti del Cittadino is an association of consumers and users committed to affirming, promoting and protecting the rights of citizens, with particular reference to the most defenseless and marginalized people.

CODICI is a member of BEUC (Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs), member of the CNCU (National Council of Consumers and Users), is the most representative Consumer Association at national level pursuant to art. 137 of the Consumer Code, is the National Social Promotion Association for the protection of citizens' rights pursuant to Law 383/2000.

Active for over 30 years, the Association promotes safety, legality, justice, health in all its aspects, the quality of products and services, the adequacy of information and correct advertising, education on consumption and the use of money, with particular attention to the prevention of over-indebtedness and the fight against usury. The activity of CODICI is also aimed at verifying that the provision of public services respects quality and efficiency standards, preventing them from turning into inefficiencies. The activities are realized through the delegations on the territory, the over 100 branches on the national territory and the commitment of volunteers who every day carry out an activity of control and protection of the rights of the consumer and user citizen.

Direct contact with citizens is a relationship aimed at understanding the real needs of users to offer the best, concrete and effective solutions. Last but not least, the Association carries out numerous educational and social projects on the most current issues, such as environment and climate change, violence, empowerment of women and children, gender equality, and many others.
